Ticking away

Ugh.... sometimes I wish I could speed up time. But then again I don't want to wish my life away. A lot of great things can and will happen over the next couple of years!

I'm weaning myself off of North Port, that's for sure. I've lost the desire to be involved in local projects. I still have a couple of projects going on..... school garden, City tree committee etc but I find myself pulling away from events and  conversations.

I think I'm going to reach out to the growing women's community more. It'll be nice to sit and drum or talk herbs with other women... a little self help for my soul.

Election season keeps my mind occupied as well... I totally Feel The Bern :)

The credit repair program is going pretty well. I don't expect them to work miracles but they ARE getting rid of some things on my credit history and it'll make a nice clean slate for me to get busy with debt reduction. I totally recommend it for anyone who's in need of credit help. I just got rid of a $150 ish collection... gone forever. SO at least the monthly fee is a wash there.... I'm heading into month three and that's about all I'll need of it.

In a couple of weeks, Mom, Shelby, Sam and I will be off to the mountains for a visit YAY!!!
Then a couple of months after that I get to farm sit at the llama farm BIG YAY!!

Then we have a trp to Mass in the Summer. I'm so thankful for all of it :)

Off to the park today with Sams homeschool group. I'm super lazy and running behind as usual....

Day one!

Wow! Ok so first off the reason I created this blog was to have a place to go and write, vent and hash out situations. A place that's NOT Facebook. I've quit facebook because it's a breeding ground for meanness and election season is just around the corner. I can't deal with it... So I figured journaling would be a good release for me while I get used to not having the constant feedback of Facebook.

Welcome to THE PLAN! Woop! Mr. Howie and I are creating a 2 1/2 - 3 year plan for our future selves to love our past selves for being so forward thinking and PLANNING! ....
The Gist: Self reliance, Debt free, Beat the heat
The Goal: Buy and turnkey Bed and Breakfast in Western North Carolina
The Obstacles:

• Mollie needs to graduate High School.... top priority is getting this kid into college and on her way! 
• Repair my Credit and pay off debt 
• Build Equity in our home
• Learn about running a B&B

Today is January the first 2016! WOW!
I got signed up with a credit repair company this morning to help figure out how to clear my debt and my pretty terrible credit rating. Howie's is looking good, so it's really just me in this section. Sam being sick for the forst 2 years of his life really put a hurting on my credit. I'm not too worried though! I think in a couple of years time I'll be able to get things cleaned up nicely.

I've also already started to sell off STUFF around the house that's just collecting dust and getting in the way. Opening a savings account is next in line... a place where I can put the money I make from selling stuff off!

Howie and I have also gotten signed up with SCORE which is an amazing resource.

So I think we're on a great path with a nice fat head start!
